How to recognize acidosis?

The living conditions of your animal already give a good indication of whether your animal can be acidified. If your animal is exposed to many acidifying factors, it is very likely also acidified. In addition to any complaints from your animal, it is also often possible to recognise the behaviour and appearance of acidification:

  • Overweight
  • Eating grass (for dogs or cats)
  • Respings and/or vomiting
  • (excessive) gas/air formation
  • Diarrhea
  • Fatigue, lethargy
  • Sleepiness
  • Stiff muscles, cramps
  • Crippled, Mank Walk
  • Difficulty or pain when moving
  • Stink from the mouth
  • Dull coat
  • Itching and skin complaints
  • Often sick
  • Excessive or decreased appetite
